Blockade

Play · 120 min. After the 44-day Artsakh war, an Artsakh family caught in the blockade in Stepanakert takes in a soldier who fought in the war, along with his relatives. The six characters hold views on homeland, land and home that sometimes contradict one another, yet they are gathered around the same idea of patriotism and unity, and a difficult road awaits them: self-discovery, tolerance and, in the end, love. One of the play's key messages runs through the whole story like a red thread: not to separate Armenians from the place they live, their dialect and their land.
